MATTHEW ABBOTT
KINESIOLOGIST, FOUNDER, ENDURANCE KINESIOLOGY
Matthew Abbott has always been passionate about fitness, sports, and living a well-balanced, healthy lifestyle. His journey began at New England College, where he played NCAA hockey while earning a degree in Kinesiology. Combining his love for athletics with his knowledge of human movement, Matthew turned his passion into a career, becoming a personal trainer, strength coach, and hockey training specialist. His mission is to help individuals—whether elite athletes or first-time gym-goers—reach their full potential through customized training programs rooted in the principles of kinesiology and movement mechanics.
In 2018, Matthew founded Endurance Kinesiology, a facility dedicated to strength and conditioning, athletic performance, and personal training. As owner and founder, his primary responsibility is ensuring the clinic operates smoothly while fostering a community-driven environment where athletes and clients can grow. His approach emphasizes proper movement patterns, strength development, injury prevention, and overall athletic performance, making Endurance a trusted name in the fitness and sports performance industry.
Beyond Endurance, Matthew is proud to serve as the Strength & Conditioning Coach for both the Concordia Stingers and Collège Sainte-Anne Dragons hockey programs. His expertise in off-ice training has helped many athletes improve their strength, speed, agility, and endurance, preparing them for success on the ice.
Matthew strongly believes in the power of consistency, patience, and lifelong learning. His advice for anyone starting their fitness or athletic journey is to trust the process, stay committed, and never stop improving. He finds fulfillment in helping people see results, get stronger, and reach their goals, whether in sports performance or general fitness.
When he’s not at Endurance, Matthew spends all his free time with his twins, his wife, and their dog, enjoying outdoor activities like skating, tobogganing, and long walks. And, thanks to his twins, he can now recite every Miss Rachel song by heart!
